For almost as long as I can remember, it's been a favorite family spot to visit, regroup as a family, and get away from the hustle and bustle of student life and ministry needs for a few days of hiking, relaxing by the campfire, and just spending time together. One of the many things we love about this spot is the amazing wildlife.
We can sit at our campsite and watch turkeys and quail wander by, buzzards, hawks, and California condors circle above in the sky, and owls hoot through the night. There is a peacefulness at the Pinnacles National Park that one doesn't easily forget.
We'll be talking about this place all winter long, and come springtime, when the last drifts melt and the geese fly past on their way north, I have a feeling the Pinnacles might call us with that urge to hit the road again!
